Capturing Mikel Rouse’s End of Cinematics
AVL collaborated with New York-based composer, performer, media artist, and recording artist Mikel Rouse on his End of Cinematics. His non-narrative performance couples projected images with live music (set to his own score), giving audiences some of the finest and most complex tonal music on the fine arts scene and university circuit today. Jeff Carpenter worked directly with Rouse to create the video for this premier performance, held at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts in September 2005, and its subsequent tour.
